A React interface for agents. Streaming replies, tool calls, and interactive questions, with your backend behind it.
The UI behind Symphony Web, packaged for other apps. Bring an adapter, import the stylesheet, and mount Chat. No Next.js dependency.
A quiet tool row. Open it to see exactly what the agent read.
Changes with context, line numbers, and clear additions and removals.
File matches and snippets, with enough context to follow the result.
Commands, output, exit codes. A failed run stays easy to inspect.
Let people choose, add context, and confirm before the agent continues.
Keep a person in the loop, with a clear action and explicit choices.
Created files become previewable output, right inside the conversation.
A compact task card with an activity view for the work behind it.
React 18 or later. The adapter yields normalized message snapshots from your backend; Chat renders them. This small example returns one local reply.
The protocol represents text, reasoning, tool states, sources, files, data, and widgets. Event reducers normalize streams into message parts. Your adapter handles the backend connection; the UI consumes the same shapes.
Use the optional AI SDK adapter with an endpoint that speaks the AI SDK UI message stream protocol. Install ai (version 5 or later) alongside the chat package. The endpoints below are supplied by your application.
